Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

• Platform refers to Friend with Dogs™, the app & website connecting dog owners and dog friends.
• Member refers to any registered user of the Platform.
• Dog Owner refers to a Member who owns a dog and seeks Dog Friends.
• Dog Friend refers to a Member seeking to borrow a dog.
• Basic Membership refers to the free membership allowing limited access to services.
• Premium Membership refers to the paid subscription granting additional features.
• Voucher Code means a unique code purchased or purchasable from an authorised third party vendor or online intermediation service that can be redeemed against and entitle the User to access the Additional Services.
• Content means any information, text, graphics, logos, photographs, images, moving images, sound, illustration and other materials in any media form submitted or sent by Users to other Users or Friend with Dogs™, through their use of the Service, including as displayed in their Profile.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform, Members agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If a Member does not agree, they must discontinue use immediately.

3. Basic Membership Services

• Members can create a profile and browse other user profiles.
• Members can receive messages but cannot respond without upgrading to Premium.

4. Premium Membership Services

• Full messaging capabilities.
• Access to additional search filters.

5. Privacy & Cookies

• Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• The Platform uses cookies to enhance user experience; Members can manage cookie settings.

6. User Account, Password & Payment

• Dog Owners and Dog Friends will be required to register a username and password and provide certain information as part of the registration process in order to use this service.
• You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your password or account or any other breach of security. Members are responsible for maintaining their account security.
• Premium Membership requires upfront payment via the Platform’s payment system.

7. Acceptable Use

• Members must not post offensive or harmful content.
• Members must not share personal contact details in profiles or images to bypass the subscription model.
• Misuse of the platform may result in account termination.
• Users must not solicit or charge other users for services outside of the platform directly or indirectly.

8. Termination of Accounts for Improper Use

• The Platform reserves the right to terminate accounts violating these Terms.
• Termination decisions are final and non-negotiable.

9. Cancellation & Refunds

• Members can cancel Premium Membership within 14 days of payment for a full refund.
• Members will not be entitled to a refund if any Premium Membership features, services or benefits have been used by the member.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

• The Platform and its content, including logos and trademarks, are the property of Friend with Dogs™.
• Members may not copy, modify, or distribute any Platform content without permission.
• We own or are licensed to use all intellectual property rights associated with the Platform and its published content. These works are protected under copyright laws and international treaties, with all rights reserved. By accessing the Platform, you agree to use its content and services strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not download, copy, reproduce, transmit, store, sell, or distribute any part of the Platform without prior written consent from the copyright holder.

11. Indemnity

Members agree to indemnify and hold Friend with Dogs™, its officers, directors, employees, agents and third parties harmless from claims, causes of action, debt, losses, costs, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising, directly or indirectly from:

• their use of or inability to use the platform; or
• all content transmitted by users on the platform; or
• violation of any of the terms and conditions or violation of any rights of a third party; or
• violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations when using the platform.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The Platform acts solely as a platform connecting Members.
• The Platform is not responsible for interactions between Members or any agreements made outside of the platform.
• Standard checks are conducted, but Members must conduct their own due diligence before borrowing or lending a dog.

13. Final Provisions

These Terms are subject to change. Continued use of the Platform signifies acceptance of the latest Terms. All updates to these Terms and Conditions will be published on this page. We will provide you with notice via email in advance of updates where appropriate.
